AIRCRAFT WASTEWATER SURVEILLANCE

Monitoring Health Beyond Borders

AWSS detects infectious pathogens from aircraft wastewater within 1–2 hours of landing — giving Thailand a real early-warning layer at the border.

Built for Thailand. Designed for the region.
ASEAN AVIATION GATEWAY

Built for Thailand. Designed for the region.

Suvarnabhumi, Don Mueang, Phuket and Chiang Mai — the four gateways AWSS is designed to monitor as Thailand's sentinel biosecurity layer.

Test the aircraft. Not the passenger.
PROVEN GLOBALLY

Test the aircraft. Not the passenger.

Operational in the US, UK, EU and Australia. Detecting variants weeks before clinical surveillance — without interrupting a single passenger.

What we do
The Challenge

Border health is built for symptoms, not signals.

Traditional airport screening relies on thermal scans and self-reported symptoms — but most infectious travelers are asymptomatic, and modern variants can spread for days before any symptom appears. By the time clinical surveillance picks up a new pathogen, it has already crossed the border, dispersed to dozens of provinces, and is weeks ahead of the response.

Invisible threats

Asymptomatic travelers pass through symptom-based screening undetected. Thermal cameras miss what genomic sequencing catches.

Slow detection

Clinical surveillance picks up an outbreak only after people start seeking care — typically 1–2 weeks behind the actual spread.

No flight-level intelligence

Traditional systems can't tell which airport, which country, or which corridor an emerging pathogen is arriving through.

Thailand cannot detect what arrives through its airports until it is too late to act.

The AWSS Solution

Test the aircraft. Not the passenger.

AWSS collects wastewater directly from aircraft lavatory holding tanks during normal ground servicing. Our laboratory runs RT-qPCR and prepares samples for genomic sequencing, then delivers results to a secure, real-time dashboard — segmented by origin country. Public health authorities receive a targeted alert before the next inbound flight has even landed.

Sample collected

Wastewater extracted during routine ground servicing.

02

RT-qPCR analysis

Pathogen panel testing within 1–2 hours of landing.

03

Real-time dashboard

Encrypted results segmented by origin country.

04
